Hill Street Art Project

Network Rail is rebuilding New Street into a station for 21st century Birmingham which will look to the future. The redeveloped station will open up new pedestrian links across the city centre including a new station entrance on Hill Street.

Regenerated is a local project which taps into Birmingham's wealth of creative talent to produce works of art in areas of redevelopment. By pairing young people with professional artists, Regenerated enables young people to become involved in the regeneration of Birmingham.

Regenerated asked the artists who have worked on this project to create work based around the themes of movement, regeneration and reflection. Each artist has interpreted this brief in their own individual style, using separate and wide-ranging influences and inspirations.

Network Rail has teamed up with Regenerated to transform this previously bare and uninspiring wall into a temporary art gallery. This wall will be changing again with the transformation of New Street Station, but in the meantime it will be showcasing Birmingham's artistic talent and passion.
